Over the last 7 years, Amr’s primary role was to spread agile awareness and lean thinking in software organizations in Egypt and the Middle East. Amr is the co-founder of Agile Academy and Egypt's Lean & Agile Network, one of the largest Agile communities in the Middle East.
In 2011, Amr has initiated Egypt's GoAgile program, the biggest agile adoption initiative sponsored by the Egyptian government for expanding agile practices and lean thinking in software houses in Egypt. Amr has trained 1000+ practitioners, coached 50+ teams, and led agile transformation is many organizations. Amr has worked with clients from a wide range of private and public organizations in Egypt and the Middle East such as Vodafone, Orange, Valeo, and ITWorx.
Before that, for more than 10 years, Amr worked as a software developer, analyst, designer, and manager of large scale Enterprise software development projects for IBM, Vodafone, and others.
Amr is an international lecturer and keynote speaker. He has co-authored the 'Process Increments' method, an agile method for software process improvement, and authored many industrial reports and articles; and writes frequently at his blog: amr.agileegypt.org
